Aric was a Visigoth captured by the Spider Aliens and transported through time to 1992 when Solar’s attack on the fleet caused enough of a diversion for him to capture the X–O Manowar armor Shanhara and escape to Earth. Aric learned of the Spider Aliens’ involvement with Orb Industries and took over the company by force, making him one of the richest men in the world.
